ABOUT ME
What have I been up to?
A fourth generation Auburn student, I have always known my next step following high school graduation was to attend Auburn University. As a May 2023 graduate of Auburn University, I am now preparing enter to the work force and am eager for what is next.
Throughout my time in college, I strived to make the most of my time both professionally and personally. From internships to on campus involvement, I have enjoyed my time at Auburn more than I can say.
During 2022 I had the honor of serving as the Firm Director of The Oaks Agency, Auburn’s first and only student- run PR firm. Under my leadership, the agency became PRSSA affiliated, gained 3 new clients and over 20 new members. Additionally, we were nominated for an on-campus involvement award for the first time in agency history, an accomplishment many on-campus organizations strive for.
As the Communications intern for Auburn-Opelika Tourism, I had the opportunity to gain vital, hands-on experience in the professional communications field. I assisted with the development and execution of marketing and public relation plans to promote overnight travel to the area. Additionally, I was allowed full access and creative opportunity to create content for their social media accounts, specifically TikTok. I was consistently writing calendar listings and blog posts for the website to generate fresh content and help boost SEO. This professional experience has been a highlight of my college career.
While at Auburn, I also found a deep love for my sorority and steadfastly serving the women a part of it. The second semester of my junior year, I became the collegiate chapter president of the Phi Theta chapter of Delta Delta Delta. The year was composed of diligent team work, critical thinking, effective problem solving, active listening and pro actively communicating to ensure the best experience for the members if the chapter. I learned how to think on my feet and what it truly looked like to consistently put others before yourself. Under the leadership of my team, our chapter became the second biggest chapter, member wise, out of the 18 Panhellenic sororities on campus and became the largest member body our chapter has ever seen, reaching 335 active members. Serving the 2022- 2023 chapter president was a dream and truly has stretched and shaped me into the professional I am today.
Now an alumna of Auburn University, I am excited to enter the work force and continue impacting others lives through meaningful communication and content. From my past experiences, I have found a passion for serving others and I look forward to doing so while further expanding my skills in this field.
